I Did It MY Way

APPLICATION:

Probably one of the most arrogant songs ever written was, “I did it my way” (just my opinion!). The song was made popular many years ago by a famous singer.

The lyrics of the song have always stuck in my craw. To think anyone would be so arrogant as to claim he has done everything his own way demonstrates his sheer ignorance about God. The real truth of the matter is that none of us can even take our very next breath without God’s permission! It’s absolutely absurd to even think we can do everything we want when we want.

We can try to do things our own way, if we desire, but God will always have the last word. Not only will He have the last word, He will also decide for us where we will spend eternity after this life is over. It will either be with his blessing or with His curse.
A PRAYER:

“God, forgive me for trying to do everything my own way. Forgive me for all the time I have wasted, help me to get back on your path for my life.”
