Romans 12:2 (NIV) “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”

The Bible tells us that there is a part of us that will live forever, it will never die. It is true; our physical bodies will some day stop functioning and their time here on planet earth will come to an end. However, the inner you, your inner man, your spirit (soul) will continue to live on forever.

The Bible teaches us that we humans are comprised of a body, a mind and a soul. The mind (sometimes referred to as the heart) and the soul (sometimes referred to as the spirit) make up the inner you - the real you. Your body is simply a temporary package to house the soul. It is this inner you that requires the forgiveness, regeneration and renewing by God. Only then does your body become a temple for God’s Holy Spirit. This is what the body was originally designed for. It was never designed to be a hangout for a rebel.
A PRAYER

“God, change all of me so that I can think and act in a way that pleases you. Only then will I find peace and contentment for my soul.”

APPLICATION:

“What you see is what you get” may apply to some things in life, but the Bible teaches us there is a lot more to us humans than what meets the eye.
