Jesus - No Ordinary Man
BIBLE REFERENCES:

John 1:1-4 (LivBible) “Before anything else existed, there was Christ, with God. He has always been alive and is himself God. He created everything there is – nothing exists that he didn’t make. Eternal life is in him, and this life gives light to all mankind. His life is the light that shines through the darkness – and the darkness can never extinguish it.”

John 3:16 (NIV) “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. “

Philippians 2:5-9 (LivBible) “Your attitude should be the kind that was shown us by Jesus Crist, who, though he was God, did not demand and cling to his rights as God, but laid aside his mighty power and glory, taking the disguise of a slave and becoming like men. And he humbled himself even further, going so far as actually to die a criminal’s death on a cross. Yet it was because of this that God raised him up to the heights of heaven and gave him a name which is above every other name, that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Crist is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

APPLICATION:

History proves to us that Jesus was no ordinary man. Just how many prophets, religious leaders and even the world famous do you know who have established themselves in the time-line of history? The BC and AD you find in your history books refer to Jesus Christ, his birth and death. If Jesus were just ordinary, he would have quietly fallen off the radar screen a long time ago.

Of course, the evidence does not just end there. The Bible is filled with prophesies looking forward to the arrival of this man called Jesus. They even foretold of his death on the cross and his resurrection. These prophetic predictions were given hundreds of years before they actually happened! You don’t believe me? Well, read the Scriptures for yourself!
The Bible gives us many detailed accounts of the life of Jesus Christ during his short 33 years here on earth. How he was able to heal sick people, raise people from the dead, how he fed a multitude of people with only a hand full of food and was able to even turn water into the best wine for a wedding party. How many ordinary men can do that?

So, what do you personally think about this person, Jesus Christ? Have you tried to learn more about him? More importantly, have you accepted him in faith as your personal savior and asked him to forgive you of your sins? Rejection is the only other option. There is no middle ground here!

A PRAYER:

“God fill me with your thoughts; fill me with your Holy Spirit to help me understand you and your ways and give me the faith so that I can accept your truth without trying to figure it all out.”
